Informative New Content Declares 2013 the Start of the Hybrid IT Service Management Era

Milpitas | Monday, January 14, 2013 — FrontRange, a leading provider of hybrid IT service management (ITSM) solutions, today unveiled its new website, drawing attention to its global leadership as the only vendor offering hybrid ITSM solutions covering cloud and on-premise deployments. The new, easy-to-navigate site contains a wide range of highly informative resources ranging from white papers, case studies, video content and tutorials explaining the advantages of Hybrid ITSM.

Gartner forecasts that “by 2014, 30 percent of organizations using ITSSM tools will switch to on-premises1.” It is critical therefore for enterprises to have the flexibility to move seamlessly between these different deployment options as circumstances change over time. This means customers do not have to re-train their users despite changing their deployment model and switching budgets from operational expense to capital expense.

“‘Cloud-based’ might be the most overused marketing phrase from 2012,” said FrontRange Chief Marketing Officer Dave Puglia. “The presumption behind this thinking is that enterprises are universally aligned in their belief that IT services should and must be moved to the cloud. The rationale is that capital equipment costs will be slashed, operating overhead will be trimmed, licensing fees will be cut and new levels of efficiency will be realized. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a world of absolutes. While cloud computing is without a doubt a significant and strategic IT development, wholesale moves to the cloud is pure fiction—especially when it comes to IT service and client management technologies.”

In December 2012, FrontRange launched two key product releases— HEAT Cloud 2012.3 and a significant upgrade to its HEAT® Desktop & Server Management (DSM) platform that extend its leadership position in the ITSM market. HEAT Cloud now embeds social media concepts within key service management processes to greatly improve communications between help desks and customers to facilitate self help, resolve incidents much more quickly, and lower total cost of ownership.

In launching of the website, FrontRange contracted the expert knowledge of 1185 Design, who prepared the branding and layout, and MagicLogix, who drove the programming efforts.
